State Government Streamlining Work Continuing

As part of the 2010-2011 biennial budget, members of the Joint Standing Committee on Appropriations and Financial Affairs assigned themselves the task of finding an additional $30 million in savings in the state budget. This work will continue in three meetings in September, with the committee receiving updates from various departments, including the Department of Education.
